Flower Headbands

One day I went to JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts and saw flowers and an idea popped into my head. Why don't we make flower headbands?

I asked my mom if we could buy the materials and she said, "Yes."

My friend Ananda was sleeping over that night and so we decided to make a ton of headbands to sell at a upcoming homeschool bookfair.

What you'll need

Supplies:
1. Headbands: You will need a variety of headbands, mostly found at the dollar store or your supermarket.

3. Sequins: You can use any type of sequins, jewels, beads or buttons from a craft store.
4. Scissors

Caution! Be careful! This project requires sharp scissors and a hot glue gun. Remember to ask an adult for permission.

Procedure:
1. Plug in your glue gun so that it is heating up while you assemble your project.
2. Disassemble the flowers, piece by piece. Only use the cloth flower part. You can re-add the leaves and pistons later if you wish. Throw away the stems.

6. Add any pistons or leaves, as you wish to make the headband more realistic looking.
7. Now its time for the glue gun. Disassemble the flower pieces. Put a dot of glue onto the headband. Then add your first bottom piece. 8. Push the flower piece into the glue on the headband with a pencil Its very hot. Don't use your fingers!
9. Keep on layering your flower pieces. With each piece add another dot of hot glue.
10. Add last hot glue drop to the center of your flower. Place your jewel in the center and push down with your pencil.
11. Wait 5-10 minutes to let the flower cool down before trying on your headband.
12. Post in the comment areas and let me know how it goes!
